Description: Hyphae superficial, pale yellow, 1򉣸 祄 wide. Ascoma thyriothecioid, amphigenous, orbicular, occasionally confluent, 200280 祄 diam.; scutellum composed of radiating rows of brown rectangular cells 46 58 祄 in the central zone; those surrounding the ostiole forming a distinct raised collar, quadrialteral, very thick-walled, very dark brown to blackish朾rown, 24 13 祄, those at the wavy margin elongated, pale brown, 812 12 祄; ostiole 68 祄 diam. Asci numerous, obclavate, 3244 810 祄, 8-spored; pseudoparaphyses septate, branched, 1𢹝 祄 wide. Ascospores hyaline, 1-septate, cells biguttulate, ellipsoid, sometimes slightly curved, 12145 34 祄, appendages apparently lacking
