Description: Ascomata perithecioid, superficial, broadly ovoid, yellow, becoming dark brown, (220–) 275–385 (–440) × (135–) 165–275 (–375) µm; wall 15–20 µm wide, cells 6–9 µm diam.; setae absent; pseudoparaphyses straight, 1 µm diam. Asci cylindrical, (50–) 85–140 × 9–15 µm, bitunicate, 4–8-spored. Ascospores elongate-clavate, 40–55 (–65) × (2·5–) 3–5 µm, (5–) 7–9 (–13)-septate, smooth, hyaline to pale yellow.
