Description: Hyphae brown, branched, septate, 12 m wide, abundant, superficial. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, scutate, scattered, up to 250 m diam.; scutellum composed of an upper layer of brown, sinuous, lobed cells, forming a pale brown fringed margin, lower layer thin and indistinct; ostiole 712 m diam.; pseudoparaphyses narrow, ca 05 m diam., branched, septate, evanescent. Asci 8-spored, obclavate, 4550 78 (9) m. Ascospores ellipsoid to broadly fusoid, hyaline, 1-septate, septum median, smooth, 1214 34 m
