Morenoina clarkii J.P. Ellis, Trans. Br. mycol. Soc. 74(2): 300 (1980)

Description: Hyphae brown, contorted and nodulose, 2–4 µm wide, abundant. Ascoma thyriothecioid, usually lobed or branched, mostly curved, 250–1500 × 80–120 µm, up to 250 µm wide where lobed; scutellum composed of dark brown oblong cells, opaque except at the edge, cell protruding and connecting with the mycelium. Asci clavate, 25–35 × 12–17 µm. Ascospores ellipsoid, hyaline to pale straw–coloured, 1-septate, slightly constricted at the submedian septum, remaining smooth, 14–19 × 4·5–6·5 µm
