Description: Hyphae superficial, pale yellow to sub-hyaline, 1򉣸 祄 wide. Ascoma thyriothecioid, amphigenous, orbicular, occasionally fused, up to 110 祄 diam.; scutellum composed of radiating rows of pale brown, irregularly quadrilateral cells 35 48 祄; those surrounding the ostiole not forming a distinct collar, those at the margin divided and rounded to form a fringe; ostiole 56 祄 diam. Asci numerous, obpyriform to obclavate, 2436 810 祄, 8-spored. Ascospores hyaline, 1-septate, narrowly obovoid to ellipsoid, straight, 810 3𣠵 祄, the upper cell longer and broader that the lower cell, biguttulate, bearing medianly six to eight appendages in two tufts connected by a short dark thread
