Description: Hyphae brown, branched, septate, reticulate, 12 m wide, abundant, superficial. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, scutate, scattered, up to 130170 m diam.; scutellum composed of an upper layer of brown, branched and lobed elongated cells, darker round the ostiole, forming a pale brown fringed margin, lower layer thin and indistinct; ostiole 58 m diam.; pseudoparaphyses narrow, ca 05 m diam., branched, septate, evanescent. Asci 8-spored, cylindrical to obclavate, 1626 46 m. Ascospores narrowly ellipsoid, hyaline, 1-septate, septum slightly submedian, 68 (10) 152 m
Anamorph: Conidioma pycnothyrioid, orbiculalar, up to 400 m diam.; scutellum composed of branched and lobed, elongated cells. Conidiophores not seen. Conidiogenous cells not seen. Conidia cylindrical, hyaline, non-septate, 457 115 m.
