Description: Hyphae brown, branched, septate, 12 m wide, abundant, superficial. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, scutate, scattered, up to 160 m diam.; scutellum composed of an upper layer of brown, sinuous, lobed cells, forming a pale brown fringed margin, lower layer thin and indistinct; ostiole 58 m diam.; pseudoparaphyses narrow, ca 05 m diam., branched, septate, evanescent. Asci 8-spored, obclavate, 3035 810 m. Ascospores ellipsoid to cylindric, hyaline, 1-septate, septum median, smooth, 9105 225 m
