Description: Hyphae superficial, hyaline, septate, much branched, reticulate, 1𢹝 祄 wide, scanty. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, scutate, scattered, 200270 祄 diam.; scutellum composed of an upper wall of radiating rows of pale chestnut brown quadrilateral cells 34 35 祄 and a similarly constructed lower wall of paler brown cells, ostiolar collar none or rudimentary, ostiole 2225 祄 diam., at first occluded by a layer of thin-walled subhyaline cells, margin extended to form a short fringe. Asci cylindrical to obclavate, 4856 1116 祄, 8-spored. Ascospores hyaline, initially 1-septate, septum more or less median, later up to 6-septate, fusiform to narrowly clavate, 2327 3򉣻 祄, appendages apparently absent
