Description: Hyphae superficial, hyaline, septate, 1򉣸 祄 wide, scanty. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, scutate, scattered, 6090 祄 diam.; scutellum composed of an upper wall of radiating rows of pale brown quadrilateral cells 36 24 祄 and a similarly constructed lower wall of paler brown cells, those surrounding the ostiole forming a slightly differentiated collar of 13 rings of darker, thick-walled cells the inner ring slightly upturned, ostiole 68 祄 diam., occluded by a layer of pale brown polygonal cells, margin entire. Asci obclavate, 2026 68 祄, 8-spored. Ascospores hyaline to pale yellow, 1-septate, septum more or less median, ellipsoid to broadly fusiform, with 24 non杙ersistent guttules, 7򉣷0 1򉣹 祄, appendages apparently absent
