Description: Hyphae superficial, pale brown, much branched, 2򉣹5 祄 wide, very scanty. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, scutate, scattered, 6080 祄 diam.; scutellum composed of an upper wall of radiating rows of brown quadrilateral cells 34 23 祄 and a similarly constructed lower wall of paler brown cells, those surrounding the ostiole forming a slightly differentiated collar of 36 rings of darker cells, ostiole 48 祄 diam., margin extended to form a fringe up to 20 祄 wide. Asci obclavate to obpyrifirm, 1827 67 祄, 8-spored. Ascospores hyaline to pale yellow, 1-septate, septum more or less median and significantly darker pigmented that the adjacent wall, ellipsoid to somewhat clavate, 6򉣾 1򉣹 祄, appendages apparently absent
