Description: Hyphae superficial, hyaline, 1𢹝 祄 wide, abundant. Ascoma catathecioid, orbicular, mammiform, gregarious, (48) 5580 祄 diam., 2732 祄 high; scutellum composed of an upper wall of radiating rows of pale brown to brown quadrilateral cells 24 (6) 24 祄 and a similarly constructed lower wall of paler brown cells, margin entire, those surrounding the ostiole forming a distinct raised collar 24 cells high, thick-walled, dark brown, 1620 祄 diam.; setae, when present, attached to 35 equidistant cells of the inner ring of the ostiolar cells, dark brown, subulate, (6) 2030 祄 long, 23 祄 wide at the base; ostiole 68 祄 diam. Asci ovoid to obclavate or pyriform, 1824 (26) 810 祄, 8-spored. Ascospores hyaline, 1-septate, septum more or less median, narrowly ellipsoidal to somewhat clavate, 8𥖽 (15) 2𣍉 祄, the upper cell biguttulate, bearing submedianly four appendages 47 祄 long in two tufts connected by a short longitudinal dark thread, the lower cell biguttulate
