Description: Hyphae superficial, pale yellow to sub-hyaline, 1򉣹 祄 wide. Ascoma thyriothecioid, amphigenous, orbicular, up to 200 祄 diam.; scutellum composed of radiating rows of pale brown quadrilateral cells 34 68 祄; those surrounding the ostiole somewhat darker, those at the margin elongated to form a fringe; ostiole 1015 祄 diam. Asci numerous, clavate to cylindrical, 3244 69 祄, 4-spored. Ascospores hyaline, 1-septate, narrowly obovoid to broadly ellipsoid, the upper cell biguttulate and larger that the lower cell, 1316 3򉣺5 祄, with four apical or subapical appendages and four median appendages arising at the septum
